Pay:                                      Hourly, based on experience
Duration / Hours per week:   Full time, 40 hours per week
Shift / Work Day:                  First shift, Monday through Friday
Education:                             2 year degree from technical school or equivalent work experience

Requirements

• 2 years prior experience as a machinist.  2 year degree a plus.
• The ability to work in a group environment.
• Required to be a self-starter, able to work well without close direction.
• Good Math skills.
• Must be able to read and interpret blue prints.
• Experience with and understanding AutoCAD.  Experience in Autodesk Inventor a plus.
• Experience with programming in Esprit CAM software a plus.
• Protective clothing required: safety glasses w/side shields and steel toed shoes.
• To communicate honestly, openly and effectively (both verbally and in writing) to customers and fellow workers.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for programming and operating of CNC machines; vertical milling machines, lathes, boring bars, drill presses, etc.
• Monitor all operation functions on machines to detect problems in setup and program.
• Must be able to use measuring instruments; micrometer, calipers, etc.
• The use of basic hand tools; drills, grinders, etc.
• Operate band saws to cut raw materials to desired specifications.
• Deburring of piece part sharp edges and corners.
• Material handling with use of overhead cranes, forklifts, magnets and other material handling equipment.
• Responsible for checking that machined components meet engineering tolerances.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment..
