Position Description
The Sales Engineer reports to the Sales Manager. The responsibilities of the Sales Engineer are to communicate honestly, openly and effectively (both verbally and in writing) to customers and fellow workers to protect the profitability and reputation of McClean Anderson. Develop thorough knowledge of filament winding and the composite industry, as well as knowledge of composite applications, machine operation, machine construction and programming techniques. Participate in direct sales, as well as develop business relationships with new prospective customers and existing customers. This position will involve occasional travel both foreign and domestic.
Pay: Salary, based on experience
Duration / Hours per week: Full time, 40 to 45 hours per week
Shift / Work Day: First shift, Monday through Friday
Education: Bachelors Degree in Composites or equivalent.
Requirements
- 2 years prior work experience in sales and/or customer service.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide concise documentation.
- Accurate, organized, detail-oriented, able to work well without close supervision and achieve goals beyond minimum levels of performance.
- Ability to read and interpret technical material.
- Due to the nature of our environment, strict confidentiality in all phases of employment is expected and must be maintained.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and complete machinery and miscellaneous quotations per customer request.
- Provide customer presentations/demonstrations onsite and offsite.
- Provide current customers with project status updates.
- Coordinate and conduct customer machinery acceptance and training.
- Perform customers test winding services.
- Provide level-2 customer support as needed (via email, telephone and onsite visits).
- Represent McClean Anderson at Trade Shows both domestic and global.
