Part Removal System
 
Mandrel Support Cart
Mandrel  cart is motorized and runs along the tailstock rails. Cart has vertical adjustment to accommodate
different part  mandrels. While cart is supporting the  mandrel the completed part can be removed with the
Part Cart.
      
Part Support Cart
Part cart is motorized and runs along the tailstock rails. Cart has vertical  adjustment to accommodate
different diameter parts. Loose part is then, supported and guided off of mandrel. Note: Cart does not extract
and is only used to assist in removal of loose cured parts.      
   
 
Fiber Delivery System
 
Bookshelf Fiber Dispensing Creel 
Stationary fiber dispensing creel. Spools of fiber are placed onto shelving and fiber is redirected through a 
series of ceramic eyelets. Ideal for center-pull glass.
Traveling Festooning System
Helps guide the fiber Bookshelf Fiber Dispensing Creels and the machine's horizontal carriage and helps
minimize tangles and fiber damage on long carriage travels.

Mylar/Veil  Dispenser
Accepts material with 75 mm [3”] dia x 305-457 mm [12-18”] lg cores. Tension is adjusted manually.
Sand / Aggregate Delivery  System
The sand delivery system allows for the controlled application of granular aggregate filler (such as sand
or a similar aggregate) during the winding process. Filler provides a quick and low cost means of building
up wall thickness of pipes and tanks while reducing material costs.
   
 
Fiber Impregnation
 
Drum or Fiber-Dip Type Resin Bath
Jacketed, stainless steel, resin bath assembly. Used for metering and controlling fiber wet-out. Baths are
made of a stainless steel/aluminum construction.

Re-circulation Liquid Type Resin Bath Heater
Heater consists of a built in heated reservoir  that pumps liquid through the lower jacket of the resin bath tank.

Electric Type Resin Bath Heater
Heater consists of heat pad located on the bottom of the resin bath tank.

Resin Drip Trays
Resin drip trays are positioned directly under the machine spindle.

Resin Bath Stand
Free standing resin bath stand that can accommodate one Fiber-Dip Type or Drum Type resin bath stand is
placed on the floor directly behind filament winding machine.
   
 
Control Features
 
Uninterruptible  Power Supply (UPS)                                                        
System maintains machine control power for up to 30 minutes in the event of main power failure.
Wireless Radio Control Pendant  
Allows operation of the filament-winding machine by means  of a wireless pendant.  Aids and improves
machine operation for extended length machinery.
Hardwired Operator Control Pendant    
Allows operation of the filament-winding machine by means of a wired operator pendant.

Digital Auxiliary Outputs
Generates programs for activating digital outputs during winding program execution. These programs
enable you to trigger output  states based on existing filament winding program states.

Bar Code Scanner
2D scanner allows the scanning of bar codes to load the associated part program.
   
 
Safety Features
 
Safety Edge (Bumper Switch)
Bumper switches are used to stop the machine in an  Estop state in the event the machine’s horizontal
carriage would strike a  foreign object.  Switches are located on both headstock and tailstock sides of the
winder’s horizontal carriage.
Cable Pull-Switch
Cable  that runs the length of the machine’s carriage bed located near the floor. Operator can step or pull
the cable to stop  the machine in emergency situations. 
Horizontal Carriage Whisker Switch
Consists of fiberglass whiskers mounted to a rotary switch. In the event the switch is activated, the
machine will stop in an Estop state.  Whisker switches are mounted on the  front-side or backside
of the machine's horizontal carriage. 

Single-Beam Photoelectric Safety Switch
Light beam runs between the machine's headstock and tailstock. When light beam is broken the machine
goes to an Estop state.
